HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE FOR INCISIONS TO HEAL AFTER BARIATRIC SURGERY

Bariatric surgeries today are done laparoscopically, that makes recovery time shorter.

🔹With Weight Loss Latvia people leave the hospital on the 3rd day after the surgery (not including the surgery day). Mostly there is no general pain and wounds are clean, covered with bandages.
🔹There are 5 small incisions on the stomach after the surgery. Stitches are dissolvable and you do not have to see the specialist to take them out at home.
🔹A nurse will change the bandages before you leave the hospital. You will have to change them once or twice at home before you can take them off. It takes around 10 days for incisions to heal after bariatric surgery.
